Dr. Joash Kivuze Mulabe Holds the Administrative position of Academic Registrar at the Multimedia University of Kenya (MMU), and is a holder of Ph.D. in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behaviour. He has been a career Administrator in the University sector of the higher education for 31 years. During this period, he has also taught on part-time basis though at postgraduate and undergraduate for close to eight years.

Currently, and in his capacity as Academic Registrar, Dr. Mulabe is one of the top seven (7) Managers of MMU.

As Academic Registrar, serving as the Principal Assistant of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs, Research and Innovation, Dr. Mulabe is responsible for Coordination and management of all administrative and operational functions of the Department of Academic Affairs, in the Division of Academic Affairs, Research and Innovation in Multimedia University of Kenya including:

1. Declaration of student capacities, Student admissions/placement, Registration, Orientation and  Transfers.
2. Curriculum Development/Review.
3.  Quality Teaching/learning Environment, Equipment and facilities.
4. Students Attachment, Academic trips, and Welfare matters
5. University Examinations, Graduation and Certification.
6. Formulation/Review of policy guidelines and Regulations guiding academic programmes, activities and    processes in the University for effective and efficient delivery of service to customers.
7. Ensuring the integrity, accuracy and security of academic processes and records of current and former students.
8. Guiding Head of Departments, Deans of Faculties, and Directors of Institutes/Campuses on academic programmes and related matters, and Communication on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellors on Student Academic and welfare – related matters.

Arising from the above responsibilities and duties, Dr. Mulabe is Chair/Member/Secretary of the following Committees of the University:

Dr. Mulabe also sits in University Council on invitation of the Vice-Chancellor to present Divisional reports, and performs all other delegated tasks by the Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellors of MMU.
During the last 31 years, Dr. Mulabe has also worked in key Administrative-related roles with various various Public Universities including the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) for 19 years and Kenyatta University for 5 years.
