Multimedia University of Kenya emerged the best institution at this year’s WorldSkills National Competition, earning the ticket to represent the country at the regional level in Zambia next year.
The university competed in two categories—Cybersecurity and IT Software Solutions for Businesses. MMU secured first place in the Cybersecurity track and took third place in the IT Software Solutions category.
Participants were rigorously tested in practical assessments, including incident response, vulnerability detection and repair, identity and access management, digital forensic investigation, cryptography, and code review.
The WorldSkills competition equips students with hands-on skills, enabling them to develop practical solutions to various ICT challenges.
MMU offers the following courses: MSc.Computer Science, MSc. Information Technology, BSc. Software Engineering, BSc. Computer Science , BSc. Computer Technology and BSc. Information Technology.
The university also offers a range of short courses including, Certified Ethical Hacking, CCNA Networking Academy, ICDL among others.
