Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has appointed Dr. Albert Kipkogei Kochei as the Chairman of Council of Multimedia University of Kenya (MMU), for a period of three years.
Dr. Kochei holds a PhD in Public Administration from the London Bridge Business School, United Kingdom, a Masters degree in Environmental Economics, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.
He has previously worked as an internal auditor at World Vision Kenya, as a political and economic resilience program manager at the International Centre for Livelihood and Environmental Protection. He is accomplished Accountant and Leadership & Governance Expert and also a Certified & Accredited Mediator from Strathmore Law School.
Speaking at the university, Dr. Kochei promised to embrace an open-door policy to proactively and continuously engage with all the university’s stakeholders.
Dr. Kochei also assured students of a more improved learning environment that supports research and innovation.
“My desire is to make sure that we create an environment where both students and staff feel that they have a home away from home,” he said.
