Varsity trains NIB senior managers on media relations

Multimedia University of Kenya through Faculty of Media and communication is holding a two-day training to senior managers of National Irrigation Board (NIB) on corporate communication and media relations.


The training that kicked off on today (Wednesday, March 3rd, 2019), at the institution, aims at equipping the managers with skills to enable them interact effectively with their stakeholders and use the power of the new media to build NIB brand.

The interactive training session saw a unanimous consensus on the need to a have a collaborative communication engagement models that would help in ensuring that the publics get the right, accurate and timely information on issues of that affects them.


The day one of the training covered discussions on; the place of communication and public relations in organizational management, using public relations to build organizational image, public speaking for managers and crisis communication.
