The Faculty of Business and Law offers a range of courses in Business, Procurement, Economics and Actuarial Science. The Faculty is dynamic and offers practical and relevant courses that meet the market demands. The aim of the Faculty is to help the students to face these turbulent times through equipping them with the knowledge, research, insights and human skills relevant for the global market. The school experience in the Faculty is unparalleled and is designed to prepare our students to be leaders in business, public sector, private sector as well as not for profit sectors.
As a student in the Faculty you will have access to opportunities that complement your degree by having one on one academic advising, active career clubs, academic trips and other intangibles that truly set the Faculty above the competition.The Faculty has two departments namely: - Department of Marketing and Management and Department of Accounting and Finance.
The Faculty runs the following programmes:-
The Bachelor of Commerce degree that is designed to provide students with analytical, communication and problem solving skills while at the same time building competency in a particular area. The course is offered with options in Finance, Accounting, Marketing and Human Resource Management. This provides the student with the scope to enter a wide range of business fields as reflected in the various majors offered within this degree.
The Bachelor of Procurement and Logistics Management is appropriate for those students who would like to acquire extensive skills and knowledge in the area of procurement and logistics. The course is designed to enable students to solve complex Procurement and Logistics problems as well as empower them with integrated skills and knowledge in procurement, logistics management, materials management, supply chain management and e-procurement.
The Bachelor of Business and Information Technology is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge to enable them integrate information technology into business processes. The program equips the students with IT skills aimed at solving business problems. The course combines the key aspects of information technology and those of business preparing the graduates to be all rounded and be able to work in IT and Business related fields.
The Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science is designed to prepare students to assemble and analyse data to estimate the probability and likely cost of the occurrence of an event. The students should be able to help the business to assess the risks of certain events occurring. The program combines the elements of economics, finance, statistics and advanced mathematics to prepare students develop the techniques for the management of risk.

Dr. Mary Mugo
Dr. Mary Mugo is the Ag. Dean Faculty of Business and Law.
She is a result oriented, hands on professional and consultant with successful record of accomplishments in various sectors in Kenya. She has held various management positions in the private sector and in a public university and is hence knowledgeable and experienced both in theory and practice in the areas of Leadership,Management,Marketing, Staff coaching and Mentoring, Strategic Planning and Implementation.
Joseph O AyieyeChairman - Accounting and Finance Department
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (University of Nairobi), Master of Business Administration (University of Nairobi), and CPA (K) certificate.
